Madrid, October 5, 2021 – What is 5G technology and in what ways will it revolutionize the world as we know it? What new business models will emerge or take off thanks to the new generation of networks? DigitalES, the Spanish Association for Digitalization, has reinforced the information on those business models that are being tested in Spain, through a podcast and, now also, a directory of the main 5G pilot projects.

Through the 5G de Digitales Podcast, we want to give voice to the most outstanding pilot projects that are underway in our country. In episodes of about 25 minutes, several professionals who participate in them explain what one or more of their use cases consist of, their challenges, their learnings and the potential or scalability of the technology.

Around each episode of the DigitalES 5G Podcast, we have incorporated additional information about the specific use cases that are developed during the episode.

Now, we are also launching a directory with information on all the pilot projects promoted by Red.es financing, through European ERDF funds.

This information has been compiled and prepared by the 5G Business Models Workstream. From this line of work, we try to offer society, the market and the members of the DigitalES employers’ association ideas and proposals that contribute to the development of the 5G economy as an enabler of these new models. We also promote the development of 5G technologies to multiply their potential environmental benefits.
