Onboarding and HR processes
A consulting firm creates a platform in Microsoft Mesh designed to give new recruits an innovative and different onboarding experience. In this virtual world called One Accenture Park, employees can bond with a small group of peers as they connect, learn together and have a safe space to ask questions. They then participate in fun and educational games while learning what the company does and how it is organized.
Throughout the NJX, new employees learn to lead while finding the intersection between the company’s values and their personal history. This is the largest global VR deployment in history, which the employee receives at home as a welcome pack.
This experience is accessible by computer, tablet or virtual reality glasses.
- 110 new additions per year
- 200,000 sessions per year

A multinational energy services company worked closely with a consulting firm, over 8 weeks, to develop one of the first connected worker solutions in the energy sector. This solution, designed to improve worker safety, productivity, performance and profitability, equips the company’s engineers with Realwear headsets that allow them to view and execute digitized instructions without using their hands.
In addition, it also allows workers to perform inspections digitally. All reports are documented autonomously, images are captured in the headsets and are instantly available on the ground for diagnostics. More valuable, subject matter expert (SME) assistance can be provided for routine maintenance, inspections, incident resolution and live repairs, all made possible by the solution’s hands-free technology.
Better connections from which great results are derived:
- Live information, enabling early detection of faults and suggested solutions in real time.
- Saving time and millions in production losses through more feasible, faster and simpler procedures.
- More coordinated, safe, efficient and effective workers toward a prosperous future in the energy sector
Training and marketing
Companies in different industries are creating digital twins of their production lines and assets to provide employees with remote training and support.
From any location, an operator can connect to the metaverse to train with Virtual Reality in the operation of any machinery on the production floor through its digital twin. It is also possible to connect this twin to the physical asset to operate the asset remotely.
Once in the plant, any operator can request the support of an expert located anywhere in the world. Equipped with augmented reality glasses, the operator sees the avatar of the expert at his workstation and both can interact with the machinery in real time and simultaneously.
Better connections from which great results are derived:
- Real-time collaboration through digital twins connected to physical assets
- Savings in training and attendance costs and reduction of carbon footprint by avoiding unnecessary relocations
- Remote on-site assistance provided by experts anywhere in the world

Industrial Metaverse
An international food manufacturer partnered with a consulting and technology company to address the problem of product shortages. They identified digital twin technology as a possible solution and set out to create a minimum viable product (MVP).
Through an orchestration of technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning and others, the company gained a bird’s eye view of the factory and leveraged more relevant data in real time, which improved the associate experience. The objective was to ensure that the correct amount of product was packed in each bag.
Only two weeks after start-up, a significant impact was observed. At eight weeks, product delivery had only improved. The success of MVP paved the way for factories around the world to adopt the product delivery solution and further optimize it.
- Increased efficiency
- Production optimization
- Talent attraction and retention
A company has a large wind farm equipped with sensors capable of detecting anomalies in the operation of a wind turbine.
When operators in the Control Center installed in the metaverse receive these alarms, they can analyze the problem through the wind turbine’s digital twin or even connect with telepresence systems to mobile robotic platforms (ground, air, ship) to inspect the asset in-situ.
These robotic platforms are equipped with sensors and different high-resolution, 360º vision or thermal cameras to facilitate remote inspection of the asset.
Once the problem has been identified, the operators can send the repair or maintenance order.
Better connections from which great results are derived:
- Remote inspection of large infrastructures through mobile robotic platforms
- Complete immersion in multiple robotic platforms through tele-presence systems
- Inspection from anywhere in the world, saving costs and reducing downtime

Health
A healthcare provider company, with the help of a consulting firm, wanted to use Metaverse to offer its front-line caregivers virtual training that recreates real-life scenarios with a digital dialysis machine, before interacting with real patients.
It is a pioneering effort in what could be a game-changer in healthcare: offering medical training in the Metaverse, or virtual world, to everyone from healthcare assistants to surgeons.
After only 12 weeks of the project, the result was a digital twin in the truest sense of the term: a scale model of the machine as it appears in the clinic, complete with all cables, saline bags, pH test kits and other accessories. Users experience the model through a virtual reality headset.
A contribution of differential value, which translates into three aspects:
- Increased efficiency by freeing up time and resources
- A new, innovative and improved way of learning
- Improved proficiency through increased dexterity and precision in machine operation
Accessibility
Sign language is not only a form of communication but also represents being part of a community. This is the origin of the prototype for the translation of sign language into written language in real time thanks to the technological capabilities of the Metaverse.
The solution makes use of SOTA Artificial Intelligence models to recognize and interpret signs. Thus, both hand gestures and facial expressions are considered, taking into account 3D data.
Virtual reality helmets collect treacking information from the body, the AI translation model recognizes the information and translates in real time. An inclusive, technically feasible and scalable project.
A contribution of differential value, which translates into three aspects:
- Accessibility as a key component
- Breaking down communication barriers
- New opportunities for inclusion
