From DigitalES, we agree on the need for an open debate on how to achieve a fair contribution, so that the large digital platforms help manage the traffic they generate, which greatly strains the capacity of the networks. Any effort in this direction will help to ensure that the digital economy of the future is built on a more solid, equitable and competitive foundation.

In this regard, it is positive that the European Commission is finalizing a public consultation on the issue of fair contribution, as a first step to advance along this path and, moreover, to do so in a coordinated and coherent manner at the European level.
