- DigitalES is committed to the right to education of disadvantaged children and young people living in countries with high rates of poverty and social exclusion, through this collaboration with the Entreculturas Foundation.
February 24, 2023.- DigitalES, the Spanish Association for Digitalization, brings together the main companies in the digital sector in Spain with the aim of driving the digital transformation of citizens, companies and public administration, thus contributing to the economic and social growth of our country.
As part of its social commitment strategy, DigitalES has launched a partnership with Fundación Entreculturas, a Jesuit NGO that defends the right to education as a means of social transformation. The objective of this alliance is to raise awareness of the work of Entreculturas and to disseminate, among its partners and interlocutors, the educational projects it carries out in 40 countries.
Both organizations agree on the importance of generating and supporting International Development Cooperation, Social Action and Global Citizenship activities that favor the progress of the most disadvantaged groups, considering it necessary to seek synergies between the private sector and non-governmental organizations, for which reason they agree to join forces to increase their social impact. The collaboration agreement was signed today by Ramón Almansa, Executive Director of Entreculturas, and Víctor Calvo-Sotelo, General Director of DigitalES, at the offices of this employer’s association.
“The alliance with DigitalES constitutes a loudspeaker for Entreculturas’ work, contributing to the construction of a fairer society in the medium and long term,” according to Ramón Almansa, Executive Director of Entreculturas.
Víctor Calvo-Sotelo, CEO of DigitalES, said: “We are looking forward to starting this journey together with Entreculturas to extend the opportunities that digital transformation brings to the education of the most disadvantaged people”.
